Did You Know That:

There's a special place in Heaven set aside for Volunteers?

Furnished with big recliners, satin couches and footstools;
Where there is no committee chair, No bazaar and no bake sale; There will be nothing to staple, Not one thing to fold, fax or mail.

Telephone/email list (especially to legislators) will be outlawed.

But a finger snap will bring cool drinks and gourmet dinners, a rare treat for a King or Queen.

You will ask, "Who will serve these privileged few, and work for all they are worth?"

Why, all those who reaped the benefits and not once volunteered on earth.

Many will be shocked to find, when the judgement nears,
That there's a special place in Heaven, Set aside for the 'Vital Link", all you Volunteers!

Volunteer Area Leaders (VALs) take a leadership role within the Gift of Life volunteer program and have a designated geographic area to oversee local volunteer activities. Each VAL is dedicated to supporting the mission of Gift of Life Michigan To improve and extend the lives of the citizens of the state of Michigan by increasing public and professional participation in organ and tissue donation for transplantation. They often seek out their own speaking opportunities/activities, book these events, have the necessary supplies and volunteers to effectively promote awareness of organ and tissue donation, and then report back to Gift of Life. VALs are very important in training and mentoring new volunteers in their regions and for maintaining their active status. VALs serve as a Gift of Life Michigan liaison to professional and trade associations, community and church groups, school systems and media outlets within their community.
