Volunteers are the heart of Gift of Life Michigan. They share their personal stories of donation and transplantation to educate their local communities on the importance of donor awareness and signing up to become a donor on the Gift of Life Organ, Tissue & Eye Donor Registry. They have the power to educate and motivate others to "Give So Others Can Live."

You can join our volunteer force by filling out the Online Contact Form and checking the box next to "Contact Me About Volunteering." We will send you information on volunteering with Gift of Life, and add you to our newsletter mailing list. If you prefer, you may call 800-482-4881 and ask for the Public Education Department.

Volunteer Area Leader, Marge Del Greco, liver recipient, was featured in the Detroit Free Press on Sunday, June 29th, highlighting her tireless work to  promote the Donor Registry at multiple events throughout the Oakland county area. She assists the Volunteer Coordinator, Kim Zasa, with volunteer management and event planning, sharing her life-saving story with others. Click here to read her story.

The Observer & Eccentric newspaper featured a story on June 29th on local volunteers, Terry Gould, Lon Coleman, and Sherry Johnson all will be attending the upcoming US Transplant Games in Pittsburg in July.

The Tri for Life Team consists of 3 brothers, Lon, Trevor, and Brandon Coleman, all competing in multiple triathlons nationwide to honor their brother Chase who gave the give of life after a tragic car accident in 2003. They plan to visit all 50 states to encourage donor registrations. They have been featured in numerous media stories including USA Today's Open Air Magazine, as well as local television news station Channel 25. Click here to read their story (page 45-48).
